Manpower company checks

Guides to checking recruitment company information against original sources.

This page gathers published guides. It does not perform a live job or company verification. Use the original authority source linked from each guide.

What to check about a recruitment agency

Checking a company name alone does not confirm that a particular overseas demand, job or payment is valid. Verify the agency against the Department of Foreign Employment record and connect that record to the exact employer, country, post and lot being offered to you.

  1. Match the agency identity

Compare its registered name and permission number with the official record. Watch for spelling variations, lookalike names or a person asking you to pay a different company or individual.

  2. Connect the demand to the job

Ask for the lot number and compare the employer, country, post, worker count and terms with the original record. A valid agency listing does not by itself verify every vacancy it advertises.

  3. Keep payment evidence

Before paying, check the current official fee rules and obtain an itemised receipt in the correct name. Keep copies of receipts and signed documents; report suspected irregularities to the responsible authority.
