Before you submit a labour-permit application
A permit application is one checkpoint in the overseas employment process. Compare the information in your own documents with the approved job and the current instructions shown by the Department of Foreign Employment. Do not rely on a recruiter’s verbal summary when a contract or official record says something different.
Match the job to your contract
Check the employer, country, post, salary, contract period and the conditions for accommodation, meals, travel and other deductions. Ask for a corrected written contract if a material detail differs.
Use the current official process
Sign in through the government system linked from our guide. Check the document list and payment instructions displayed for your case; forms, fees and process details can change. Save the application reference and receipts.
Keep proof after approval
Download the permit or confirmation and retain a copy with your contract and receipts. Confirm that your identity and destination details are correct before departure.
