Regular passport in Nepal

The passport department directs regular applicants to the appropriate DAO or AAO associated with citizenship/minor identity card issuance. This directory lists DAOs, but not individual AAOs.

Independent preparation guide, not a government appointment, eligibility or office-service guarantee. Sources last reviewed: 2026-10-31.

Check before travelling

Tick the preparation points privately in your browser. They are not submitted, saved or used to determine eligibility.

I checked the issuing office or district on my citizenship/minor identity record. I will confirm my office accepts my category and has an enrolment appointment. I will compare the application PDF and supporting originals with the current official checklist. I will follow the regular-service fee instructions, not the urgent payment route.
