1. Define the course outcome

Start with the qualification and career outcome you need. Compare the course level with your previous study, experience and realistic future work. Do not choose only by city, migration claims or an agent's commission.

2. Verify the course and provider

Use the Australian Government CRICOS course search. A provider and course intended for student visa holders should appear on CRICOS. Record the provider name, campus, CRICOS course code, duration and tuition shown by the provider, then confirm them in the offer.

3. Build the full budget

Add tuition, OSHC, visa costs, travel, accommodation, transport, food, study materials and an emergency margin. Actual living costs vary by city and lifestyle and can be higher than a visa minimum. Use current provider invoices and official cost guidance rather than a generic package figure.

4. Check admission and English evidence

The education provider sets its academic and course entry rules. Visa evidence can depend on the country and provider evidence framework. Use the Home Affairs Document Checklist Tool for the likely visa evidence and the institution's own page for admission requirements.

5. Prepare Nepal's NOC step

Use the Ministry of Education NOC portal and the checklist for your level and subject. Make sure the institution, course, intake and fee details match your offer and other records.

6. Prepare the student visa

The Student visa (subclass 500) process can require a valid Confirmation of Enrolment, OSHC, identity documents, Genuine Student responses, and financial or English evidence where required. Apply through official Australian Government services and attach the documents requested for your case.

7. Keep a decision record

Save the CRICOS result, offer, CoE, receipts, insurance details, NOC documents and submitted application. Recheck official instructions immediately before each submission because rules and fees can change.
