Verify a recruitment agency
Bring this as a reminder when preparing for the official application or office visit.
1. Before submitting
- I will check the agency's registered licence record, not only its name or logo.
- I will compare agency and job details against official records and the contract.
- I will not rely on screenshots or unverified payment requests.
2. Documents to prepare or confirm
“Official guidance” = supported by a cited authority; “Confirm” = a preparation suggestion, not an established mandatory requirement.
- Exact agency registered name and licence number (Confirm with office)
- Written job and employer details (Confirm with office)
3. Field cross-check reminders
Do not write identity numbers, passwords or other personal details on this sheet. Compare privately with original records and the official portal.
Agency licence
Compare with: The latest licence status shown by the Department of Foreign Employment.
Avoid: Paying money based solely on an agent’s photo of a licence.
Recruitment agency
Compare with: Registered agency details and the current official DOFE record.
Avoid: Trusting a recruiter name, social media message or logo without official corroboration.
Employment offer
Compare with: Employer, destination, position and terms in the offer/contract against official records.
Avoid: Assuming a historical database match proves a current offer is genuine.
4. Confirm your office or programme
- Labour approval and verification route depend on the application type. FEIMS/DOFE is authoritative.
5. Official sources and next step
